North Shore Dog Training Club Inc. ('Club') was founded in October 1976. Since then, our membership has grown rapidly. The Club is one of the largest obedience and agility clubs in the Auckland region, with well over 300 people a year receiving tuition. Our goal is to help dogs and their owners to get the utmost from their time together, whilst emphasising responsible dog ownership. The Club provides training in domestic obedience, advanced obedience, agility, flygility, heelwork to music and tricks training, with some of these disciplines aiming towards competition and or qualifying certificates.
The Club continues to keep its level of instruction to the highest standard. The combined knowledge of our instructors means we have a wealth of experience in all facets of dog training and handling. Each of the disciplines trained at the club has its own co-ordinator and the latest practices in training continue to be developed within our volunteer instructor network. Our members regularly feature among the top placegetter at shows all around the country.
The club has equipment for at least two complete agility rings and several obedience rings. We have the latest in electronic timing equipment and all gear is maintained to NZKC fitness certification standards.

The clubhouse

Our spacious clubhouse is used by members to socialise over a cup of tea or coffee on training nights and the modern, well equipped kitchen allows us to cater for Club events. The clubhouse also provides a comfortable venue for us to show training DVD's on nights when the weather makes it too difficult for us to train.
The notice boards and display tables offer information about the Club, training, competitions etc. to keep help our members informed. Looking around the clubhouse walls, the history of the Club is apparent, with photo's of past and present obedience and agility champions and their handlers, 'Companion Dog Excellent' portraits, and an honours board display. Club team ribbons and trophies also feature, as testament to the Club's achievements over the years.
In our clubshop we offer a good selection of training articles, leads, collars, toys and club clothing at generally competitive prices.

Ample off-street parking available inside the grounds.
